This is Set #25 of our Star Wars Tarot Card collection.

Page of Swords:

Rey embodies the positive traits of the Page of Swords, such as being truthful, just, vigilant, and courageous. She values honesty and justice, and fights against injustice and oppression wherever she sees it. She is protective of her friends and allies, and willing to risk her life for them. She is also vigilant and alert, always ready for action and adventure. She has a strong sense of fortitude and resilience, overcoming many obstacles and hardships along her path.

However, Rey also struggles with some of the negative aspects of the Page of Swords, such as being impulsive, hasty, or reckless. She sometimes acts without thinking or planning ahead, which can lead to trouble or danger. For example, she impulsively runs away from Maz Kanata’s castle after having a vision of the Force, or she rashly goes to confront Kylo Ren on Starkiller Base or on Snoke’s ship, putting herself in peril. She also tends to be blunt or abrasive at times, especially when she feels angry or frustrated. She can be stubborn or defiant, refusing to listen to others or follow their advice. She can also be drawn into unnecessary or petty arguments or conflicts, such as with Luke Skywalker or Kylo Ren.

Rey’s journey as a Page of Swords is one of learning, growth, and transformation. She starts out as a lonely scavenger on Jakku, dreaming of a better life. She then becomes a hero of the Resistance, a student of the Jedi, and a leader of a new generation of Force-users. She also discovers her true identity as a descendant of Palpatine, but chooses to renounce her dark lineage and adopt the name of Skywalker, honoring her mentors and their legacy. She becomes a master of the sword (or lightsaber) and the Force, fulfilling her destiny as the last hope of the Jedi Order.

Knight of Swords:

Kylo Ren is a character who embodies the qualities of the Knight of Swords, both in his positive and negative aspects. He is a man on a mission, driven by his ambition and desire to succeed. He is action-oriented, fast-thinking, and assertive. He uses his intellect and logic to achieve his goals, often disregarding the emotions and feelings of others. He is also daring, courageous, and rebellious, willing to go against the flow and challenge the status quo.

However, Kylo Ren also shows the darker side of the Knight of Swords. He is restless, impatient, impulsive, and prone to anger. He acts without thinking of the consequences, sometimes harming himself and those he cares about. He is overbearing, opinionated, and insensitive, often clashing with others who do not share his vision or methods. He is also conflicted, torn between the light and the dark sides of the Force.

Kylo Ren’s journey throughout the Star Wars sequel trilogy can be seen as a reflection of the Knight of Swords Tarot Card. In The Force Awakens, he is introduced as a ruthless and powerful villain, who kills his father Han Solo and pursues Rey with relentless determination. He represents the Knight of Swords in his most aggressive and destructive form. In The Last Jedi, he shows signs of doubt and hesitation, as he feels a connection with Rey and questions his loyalty to Snoke. He represents the Knight of Swords in his most restless and unfocused form. In The Rise of Skywalker, he undergoes a redemption arc, as he renounces his dark identity and helps Rey defeat Palpatine. He represents the Knight of Swords in his most heroic and noble form.

Kylo Ren’s Tarot Card counterpart can be seen as a symbol of his potential for both good and evil, depending on how he uses his energy and intellect. He can be a champion or a tyrant, a leader or a rebel, a hero or a villain. He can also be seen as a symbol of change, as he undergoes several transformations throughout his story. He can be a catalyst for growth or destruction, depending on how he adapts to the challenges and opportunities that come his way.
